The whole reason we went to Pismo was to see the butterflies. There’s a tiny park where millions of trillions of butterflies come to hang out and meet their mate.
I took this with my iPhone, cropped and enhanced in Camera+. My husband and friends used their dSLRs so they got some über good shots that I’ll share.

We went to Pismo Beach this weekend with some friends. And this is what I saw when we finally got out of the car at the hotel.
My friend asked if the ocean was anything special since I live near one…my reply was…
I find it breathtaking every time I see it.

For gramma
My maternal gramma loves butterflies.
I loved seeing all those monarchs, ummm, dancing today. She would have loved it, too.
Next year I’ll bring her.
Watch your step
I am afraid of heights. And to get to the sand, you have to walk down these super steep, slippery with sand, scary stairs.
I dreaded both the descent and ascent. But I got some awesome shots…
