It was a slow day on the photo-taking front today. But when all else fails…I’ve still got my feet! ;)
Ok, so today’s word isn’t necessarily cool. In fact, it’s the exact opposite of cool. The anti-cool word for today is crochet.
Crochet is kind of like knitting, but not. You get practically the same results, except knitting uses two needles and crochet uses one hook.
I could not get the knitting thing. Two needles plus moving yarn back and forth…I needed at least two extra hands. But crochet, I can get that one. But it’s such an ugly sounding word. So I say I knit.
I like knit… I mean crocheting. It’s so relaxing and helps me get my writing juices flowing.
It’s not too often my picture of the day comes from one of the first shots of the day. Today, though, it does.
My little man has to get his morning cuddles in. If he doesn’t, well, it’s like an adult not getting their morning coffee. It’s an absolute must. My baby girl is adopting the same habit.
So here’s Ernest laying on my leg bright and early this morning. Getting his daily morning cuddle in before Flannery can infiltrate.
I don’t always post my most artistic, creative or best shot of the day for my 365 project. For me I try to pick a photo that best represents the day or mood I’m in.
With that being said, you’ll notice the awesome quality of the photo above…but that’s not the point. I’m making me a hat. Crochet. I thought, before I get working on some dolls, I better make the hat I’ve been dying to make all winter.
This is just the beginning. It shall be done tomorrow.
Ooh, I’m excited for it!!
First Ernest. Then Flannery.
Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton is a super cute book.
Unfortunately Flannery is really hard on books. Not because she’s malicious, but because she can spend hours flipping through the same one over and over and over…
