A small portion of books that I still need to read. I have at least that much on my kindle app.
I better get to reading!
I took a seat across from this seat to bask in the fresh air of Corona on Friday. It was a gorgeous day and I was stalling. Who wants to pack up twenty three years of memories and dust?
Anyway, while I was sitting here contemplating the world, a little friend came and joined me for a spell.
I’m normally super squeamish when it comes to these things. That day I was not.
It’s no surprise here that I super love Dean Koontz. I grew up on the man’s words. I read them and totally wordgasm out on almost every page.
Right now I’m reading What the Night Knows and man, I can’t get over it. It’s a super dark beginning, but I’m smiling at the description. At the way Dean brings me into the story. At his very eloquent exposition.
Page 8 gave me this little ditty:
“Pulses of lightning brightened the windows, and fat beads of rain quivered down the panes, leaving a tracery of arteries that throbbed on the glass with each bright palpitation.”
Page 9:
“He seemed enravished by the texture of his skin, by the contours of his body.”
Ok, I’m going to stop. But you get the point.
Damn I love this man’s words.
