Cool word Wednesday – settled
Settled: to quiet, calm or bring to rest…
Things have been UNsettled for awhile in my personal life and I tried to not let it affect here.
I’m happy to report that things are settling. Starting next week I will restart my multiple daily postings, cool word Wednesdays and photo montage Fridays.
Next week I’ll be settled.
365 project – May 29
After some rearranging and settling down, these beautiful works of art are properly displayed in my home.
The smaller one, a house on the beach, was painted by my gramma while I sat in my high chair gumming Cheerios. She finished the last few strokes a couple years ago, framed it and gifted it to me. Beautiful and lovely.
The other was painted by my mom after a 25 year hiatus from painting. I call it her “liberation” painting. It has great personal meaning and I take pride in it every time I see it. Gorgeous and strong.
These paintings represent the line of creativity I come from. They may be of oil and my work of words…but they are creations of expression never the less.
Plus, without a doubt, these women are my strength, my rocks, my support.
A beautiful morning
365 project – May 28
This little dog was the cause of major traffic on the 91 freeway this morning.
There I was cruising at a cool 80 mph, then BAM! A wall of traffic. A girl, pulled over to the center divider, was trying to convince this dog to get back to the car.
Grrrr! Roll up your windows so your dog doesn’t jump out the window on the freeway!!!
365 project – May 27
After a busy day of swimming, ikea’ing and setting up, I decided to relax with a little bit of writing and Top Gun action on Netflix after snores came out of the kids’ room.
That is until my Internet crashed…again. A big fat F U to Time Warner cable.
At least I still have my 50 Shades of Gray already downloaded.
