There’s hardly anything more annoying than being at a crowded Starbucks and having the last person that ordered hog the service bar when there’s a gang of people who have been waiting trying to get their drink.

Then when YOUR name is called, and you have to maneuver and squeeze around said rude person…you get the dirty look from Ms. Service Bar Hog.

But my vanilla latte tastes good.

I’m not at my usual place…maybe that’s it.

See that rope hanging in the middle of the frame? The only “branch” hanging straight down? About 100 years ago a tire hung from that rope that me and my cousins used to swing from.

I was trying to get the little ones to sleep in the car so I diverged from the normal route and visited a place I spent soooooo much invaluable time at growing up.

The Lot looks so completely different today (different owners) but this rope…this has to be a 40 year old rope…still hangs.

I wanted to just sit and stare at it all day. Maybe even got a bit teary-eyed reminiscing…but at least I got a picture.

I like words. Duh, right? I like the way they sound, how they’re used and where they come from. Wednesday did another sneak up on me and I was at a lost of this week’s cool word. I had my cousin looking up words for me and only one seemed interesting…

Heterodox (ah, you thought I was going to say plethora!). It means, basically, complete opposite of orthodox. Okay, but the point is I was looking up this word’s definition and Dictionary.com had a little ad about “heterodox has a plethora of symbols, but check out…” and it hit me…plethora. Sweet word, right?

Plethora: overabundance; excess

Such a prettier, dressed up version of “Hey dude…you have a lot of shit.”
