My favorite place to sit and to write in my house is an odd place on the floor. There are no spacial definitions to this area of the room but it’s definitely where magic happens.

So with the kids at daddy’s for the five day stretch and the writing needing to be done elevated to computer use, I was ever so grateful for the iMac purchase once again, and move that shit to the floor.

Then in honor of a new tour and American Express presale…my sister and I are going to the NKOTB concert in July. And I went old school New Kids. Every song released blared from my speakers yesterday.

NKOTB is just one of the concerts my sister and I plan to accomplish this summer. Oh yes…we’re roadies to LA concerts.

Both my kids LOVE to dance, but let’s face facts…Flannery got all the rhythm. Though Ernest shakes it like no white boy I’ve ever seen before.

I apologize for the fuzzy-fuzz action shot, but this was too perfect a moment to pass up.

Grampa and Flannery cutting a cement rug to Save Ferris’s ska version of Come On Eileen. My girl was shakin it!!!!

Tu la ru la…

I did so many fun things yesterday but this was the catalyst for it all.

My sister entered a contest to be in the audience of a live taping of a show on VH1 for Pink. She won and I was her Plus One.

It rocked. She was sooo close, amazingly beautiful, her voice so powerful and tear jerking and totally fun to watch. I pre-ordered her new album, Truth About Love this morning…the songs are perfect.

I’ve always been a fan…but now I’m hooked.

The poster we used trying to get noticed for Toby’s video filming. Hope it worked…we were way in the back.

The man himself. However I didn’t take this picture. Someone else from the concert who got to sit close did. It was texted around to those of us on the lawn.

This is what we actually saw. But it still rocked. And I’m not too into country music.

The song I downloaded the next morning. :)

Thanks Toby for coming to SoCal. Thanks friend for having the crazy idea to go the night before. And thanks sisters for agreeing and coming with.

This little box is a life saver. My husband bought a Denon receiver that has Pandora built in. Oh the stupid thing always has problems. Now it wants me to do something where I have to turn on the TV to navigate from the screen. Bleh.

Enter my magical Apple TV. I can stream Pandora (and other things) from my iPhone or iPad. Oh and me and the kids watched the videos I took of them on the big screen, too.

Suck it, Denon.
